New! 2018-19 Targeted AmeriCorps Funding Opportunities

NEW! The Virginia Service Commission has released a special targeted AmeriCorps Request for Applications focusing exclusively on activities related to the following:  Selected programs will provide direct services in their communities.  These services must address the Virginia priority of Volunteer Recruitment and Utilization, AND address one of the following two funding priorities:  Education and Economic Opportunity. Applicants pursuing education-related AmeriCorps programming must replicate or expand evidence-based out-of-school time models for children and youth through the 12th grade. Applicants pursuing economic opportunity-related AmeriCorps programming must replicate or expand workforce development models that result in individuals receiving industry recognized certifications in high-demand fields and/or placement in high demand jobs.  We will also consider programming that provides more basic job skills training, but our strong preference (reflected in our review process) is for industry recognized certifications and/or employment in high demand jobs.
