Community
Service Awards

The Governor’s Volunteerism and Community Service Awards recognize the significant contributions of Virginia citizens to the life and welfare of the Commonwealth and its people. One award is presented in each of the nine categories: Corporation, Small Business, Faith-Based Organization, Educational Institution, Community Organization, Volunteer Family, Senior Volunteer, Adult Volunteer, and Youth Volunteer. These outstanding award winners represent the millions of generous Virginians who offer their time and talents to others each year. Congratulations to the winners of the 2017 Virginia Governor's Volunteerism Awards who were honored on April 20, 2017, by Governor McAuliffe at a reception at the Virginia Governor's Mansion. See photos from this year's awards on the Virginia Service Flickr and Governor of Virginia Flickr accounts.
