2019 Virginia Volunteerism Conference
Enter today and you may have your video "premiered" at the 2019 Virginia Volunteerism Conference and win a great prize! We know how much service and volunteerism mean to you. Now's your chance to tell the world -- in your own unique and creative way!

STEP 2: Upload your video to YouTube, Google Drive or other shareable platform and send us the link on the official survey form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2019vvcvideocontest. Members of the Virginia Service Foundation will review the entries and narrow it down to three finalists. The finalists will then be voted on by the general public and the winning video will be shown at this year's conference. Need a little inspiration? The 2019 Virginia Volunteerism Video Contest will be held from 12:01 am EST February 1, 2019 to 11:59 pm EST March 22, 2019. Contest is sponsored by the Virginia Service Foundation, P.O. Box 533, Richmond, VA 23219, who is solely responsible for all aspects of this contest.
2019 Virginia Volunteerism Video Contest is open to all legal Virginia residents and 18 years of age or older by March 1, 2019. Void outside of Virginia, and where prohibited. Employees, board members, families and immediate families of the Virginia Service Foundation, Virginia Governor's Advisory Board on Service and Volunteerism, and Virginia Office on Volunteerism and Community Services are not eligible to enter. Entrants must be the rightful owner of the e-mail address registered within the 2019 Virginia Volunteerism Conference Video Contest submission form. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility of any potential winner. Winning a prize is contingent upon meeting all requirements set forth herein. Entrants who do not meet those requirements will be disqualified, and their submissions will be void.
HOW TO ENTER
As of Contest Entry Period, Entrants can upload videos to the public website of their choosing (such as YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc.) Files must be shareable and unlocked for judging. If you aren't sure how to make your files available for sharing, please contact us at VirginiaServiceInfo@dss.virginia.gov and we will forward instructions for your medium. For entries to be eligible, Entrants must completely and accurately enter all information to enter. Submissions must be based on official 2019 Virginia Volunteerism Conference Video Contest rules and regulations. Submissions can be no more than 3 minutes long. All submissions must be received by 11:59 pm EST on March 1, 2019. Sponsor is not responsible for late or unsuccessful attempts to enter. The Entrant should be able to provide upon request all third-party clearance, releases, and permissions for video submission, including releases from the entrant and any other third-party participants. Submissions must not contain material which is sexually explicit, obscene, violent, discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, etc.) offensive, threatening, profane or harassing. Submissions must not contain any mention or performance of copyrighted media production including but not limited to music, television, books, or television programming. Submissions must not contain material that infringes on international copyright rules and regulations. Once submitted, all submissions become exclusive property of Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries, in perpetuity.
INTERNET LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Sponsor assumes no liability for any error in transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, or alteration of entries. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR ANY OTHER REMEDIES FROM SUCH PERSON (S) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
RIGHTS IN SUBMISSIONS
In consideration of Entrant’s video being reviewed and evaluated for this contest, Sponsor has exclusive rights to use, copy, sublicense, transmit, distribute, publicly perform, publish, delete, or display any such submission, or any portion thereof, in any and all media including but not limited to all forms of internet, television, and wireless protocol. Each Entrant authorizes the Sponsor and any entities affiliated with the Sponsor to utilize the video submitted to the Sponsor.
Entrants must check a box signifying that they have reviewed the terms and conditions above. This release form grants the Virginia Office on Volunteerism and Community Services (OVCS) non-exclusive rights to publish, display, or otherwise make this video available for viewing , whether on the internet, within OVCS or in other venues. These rights will not expire but will exist for as long as OVCS continues to use this video. By checking the box, the author agrees to the Terms and Conditions and also warrantees that they are the full owners of the copyright in question and have the full legal rights to grant to the Virginia Office on Volunteerism and Community Services non-exclusive rights.
