Virginia's AmeriCorps Programs were thrilled to welcome First Lady McAuliffe at their annual program directors training event in Richmond, July 18-20. The First Lady made note of the enormity of Virginia's role in supporting national programs like Employers of National Service and the Service Year Initiative. She mentioned the success of many of our programs with an Education and Youth focus saying, "We appreciate the work you're doing! Many of the issues you are working on, are making sure that Virginia's children don't get left behind."

Program directors from all over Virginia received intensive training at the three-day event in performance measurement, data collection, report, and marketing.
