The Virginia Service Commission has released a special targeted AmeriCorps Request for Applications focusing exclusively on activities related to the following:
- Reducing and/or preventing prescription drug and opioid use;
- Child wellness related to reducing or preventing child abuse, improving outcomes for child victims of abuse, and improving outcomes for foster youth, including youth aging out of foster care; or
- Working to improve or support improvement of physical infrastructure including but not limited to bridges, dams, inland waterways, public parks, and schools.
