Virginia Volunteerism Summit
The annual Virginia Volunteerism Summit (formerly the Virginia Volunteerism and Service Conference) is the Commonwealth’s leading event for organizations and individuals making a difference in their communities. The Virginia Service Commission and the Virginia Service Foundation hosts the annual conference which features a diverse array of workshops, networking events and opportunities of service.
Registration for the 2023 Summit will open February 6!
Throughout the 22 sessions of the 2022 Summit, attendees reported feeling engaged, challenged, and inspired in their work. The emphasis of this event on volunteerism offers a unique opportunity to focus on ways Virginians can come together to make the Commonwealth a happier, healthier place for all.
Join us at the 2023 Virginia Volunteerism Summit!
The purpose of the Virginia Volunteerism Summit is to inspire and equip organizations and individuals to make a significant impact through service in and to their communities. The 2023 Summit will empower stakeholders through engaging in powerful conversations and workshops to re-energize our shared passions for service. Participants will hear from inspiring, nationally-known speakers about the impact and future of volunteerism, as well as collaboratively engage in workshops to learn best practices, co-create new ideas, and engage in spreading passion and inspiration throughout the sector.
Participants will be encouraged to consider how they “put purpose to their passion” as they use their interests and skills to spark change around them. Our keynote sessions and national speakers will focus on sharing about:
- Cultivating a culture of service, volunteerism, and civic engagement.
- Building and supporting a more representative, integrated, and aligned network of partners.
- Establishing a more robust resource and support infrastructure.
In addition to keynote sessions, participants will choose from full schedule of “masterclass” sessions, or workshops, to build skills, learn new ideas, and make connections with other leaders in service and volunteerism. The smaller group sessions will provide practical tools while facilitating thoughtful discussions and dialogue.
This return of this annual virtual event features a dynamic new platform and content curated for today’s leaders! Registration is $75 a person for individuals, $70 per person for groups that pay together.
Event registration includes access to live keynote sessions and all 24 masterclass workshops. Registrants will also have continued access to watch session replays of all keynotes and workshops throughout the month of May.
Share your expertise at the virtual Summit this May!
Workshop presenters will share their knowledge and experience with Summit attendees about “putting purpose to their passion” as they use their interests and skills to spark change around them. We are looking for speakers interested in sharing about cultivating a culture of service, partnerships and collaboration, and ways to leverage service to make a community impact.
Complementing keynote sessions, workshop presenters will lead "masterclass sessions" to help participants build skills, learn new ideas, and make connections with other leaders in service and volunteerism. The smaller group sessions will provide practical tools while facilitating thoughtful discussions and dialogue. More information for presenters can be found here. Session proposals will be accepted through Friday, January 27th at midnight. Interested presenters can preview the session proposal form here.
